To give you an insight into our collection and the history of Artemide, we'll introduce you to the classics such as Tizio, Tolomeo, Cadmo, Mercury Sospensione and Mesmeri.

Before the Millennium
Already in 1972, came the Artemide Tizio on the market and was an instant sensation. Over the years, the table lamp become a true design classic.German product designer Richard Sapper Tizio delivered the draft, this was awarded the Compasso d'Oro and the IF Product Design Award. In 1972, the Tizio was the first table lamp in the low-voltage halogen technology used was and is traditionally offered so on. In addition, the light continues to demonstrate its technical and delicate appearance. In addition to the Original version in black, there is the Tizio also in white and aluminum gray. Furthermore, the light is also available in smaller versions, as well as an LED light source.

The Artemide Tolomeo is one of the most famous table lamps on the market. 25 years ago, the table lamp has gone into production. The Tolomeo is a collaboration between Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina. Today, after a quarter century, is the award-winning table lamp, the symbol "Made in Italy" is still alive and can be found in many homes and architectural firms. The pivoting arms of the Tolomeo are individually adjustable from each other and be kept thanks to a Federzugsystems in the desired position. The classic design is the cornerstone of the world-famous lighting Tolomeo. The family extends a table, wall lights, floor lamps to ceiling lights and is also available in different colors and shades.

the 21st Century
Let's do a jump from the first Tolomeo nearly 20 years later in 2006. This year we saw the very first time a light of Artemide Cadmo. The light steel column is the proud owner of the reddot design award and iF Product Design Awards. The trick of the light, are two different adjustable from each bulb. Thus, the floor lamp on the one hand as uplight, the other to serve as a source of light for the entire room. To ensure a perfect light distribution Cadmo inside is painted white. The outside may be kept black, white or red. Besides, there is the Cadmo floor lamp as a wall version.

2007 was the Artemide Mercury Sospensione in production. Ross Lovegrove designed the large pendant lamp. The Welsh designer gets his inspiration from nature, so his designs are characterized by soft curves, including the Mercury Sospensione. The name of the pendant is not a coincidence: the single shiny drops like small globules of mercury. The large Mercury Sospensione ensures not only in the ON state for a unique lighting atmosphere. It also reflects the light in interesting play of light again, when it is off. If you like the pendant light is too large, there is the Mercury as a ceiling light.

Now that you get a glimpse of table lamps, floor and a pendant light, we would like to have the Artemide Mesmeri Parete imagine. The wall lamp is designed by Eric Solè and a wall radiator that is both individually and in a group as its centerpiece. The powerful 300W lamp, the walls are illuminated very well and illuminated wall newspapers, posters and images perfectly. You can at the Mesmeri Halo choose from four different designs.

Artemide is not just a lighting manufacturer - it is much more a philosophy. The Italian manufacturer will faithfully bring success in its history and in the future more lights that will set new standards in terms of design, technology and quality.
