Warm light v/s Saving energy

Warm light v/s Saving energy
For many decades, the classic light bulb has turned the people well and almost everywhere bringing light into the darkness. Sure but it has also helped to make itself redundant if its light other lamps were designed. The European Union has long since written the fight against the waste of energy on the flags and it did so, the light bulb in sight: An EU regulation, which has an almost complete end of the bulb result will be implemented progressively until 2016. But since there is energy-saving alternatives in every color of light, probably just nostalgic for the old technology will mourn.

White light in the workplace

In the form of neon lights or also the tubular energy-saving lamps, which can be screwed into a lamp holder, have been known for a long time energy-saving bulbs. Because of their white light color but both have a comprehensible image problem. For the illumination of supermarkets, workshops, warehouses, they are, however, still often the first choice: the purchase price is relatively low, the Engergiebedarf is also low and the durability is guaranteed here as a wear especially from frequent switching on and off depends on the light sources in these areas but most remain switched on for hours at a stretch.

Warm light in the living area

A neon tube as a living room lamp can imagine because of the shape and color of light, and no one even mentioned the energy-saving lamps are popular here any real popularity.

For home lighting is the preferred choice for years rather small halogen lights that provide a warm light. For the targeted lighting of plants, furniture and paintings mostly spots are used with warm light cone. Meanwhile, the trade has increasingly LED spotlight on an almost identical design.

It is important when buying, however, to pay attention to the K value (Kelvin), which indicates the light color of the spotlight: In 3300 K light is perceived as warm, up to 5300 K as the optimal workplace lighting, about 5300 K is spoken by daylight character. Depending on the immediate vicinity of an LED light source, however, can also contribute to a more white lighting comfort, eg combined with dark wood.

Normal energy saving lamps contain mercury and are therefore problematic for the disposal, so the future belongs to all appearances the LED. The to date is quite expensive to purchase, but will require very little power and is almost free of wear.
