Indoor Lighting | Decorating your home

Indoor Lighting | Decorating your home
Decorating you home is a difficult task specially when it’s related to enlightening the rooms and corridors. Lightning fittings are usually permanent and are done once, so it’s important to get them right. At times we need to change it, in situations like Halloween and other celebrations. We need to keep that in mind as well. There is so much you need to think about while selecting the way you want to enlighten your room, kitchen, balcony, doors, etc. Indoor lighting can be comparatively trickier to decide upon as it makes you think about number of things like space, paints, festivities, illumination, energy efficiency, utility and so much more.

Lighting change towards the betterment

Lighting change towards the betterment
Light has become one of the basic requirements in the lives of the human. After the invention of lights in 1847 by inventor and businessman, Thomas Alva Edison, it has been transformed and taken to the different level, many a times. In the very beginning it was an electric bulb which people started using for the purpose of having light in the dark nights when the sun goes down. Slowly with the advancement in the technology, lights were then became aid in performing daily chores and reading.

Gradually with the increased use and development in technology, lighting has now become a part of our lives. Many Italian and German brands such as Foscarini, Kreon, Artemide and more are some of the renowned names in the advanced lighting system. Kreon lighting is one of those advanced lights. Foscarini and Artemide have consistently come up with the creative ideas in terms of designs, efficiency and material used in lighting. Similarly kreon dolma is one such product from the brand Kreon. It is available for exteriors and interiors of the place.

Many brands also manufacture lighting system using fiber optics in order to support the concept of energy conservation which has become a need-of-hour today. These brands provides different variety and range of lights; decorative lighting, smooth lighting, high intensity lighting, security lighting and display lighting which is still counting.

Kreon dolma is made up of aluminum that can be used with concrete, wood or metal meaning it can be placed almost everywhere in the premises. The two different widths support better and proportionate illumination. Along with Foscarini, Artemide and other lighting brands, Kreon lighting is growing towards the better phase of the lighting system which is luxurious and efficient.

Today we cannot survive without saving resources and energy. Thus many lighting manufacturers have come up with the idea that can restore or transfer the light from largest and the most efficient source, the Sun. They are trying to use solar energy in producing artificial lights. Solar lighting system is the recent concept of lighting on which most of these brands are working. Until any new innovation in the world of lighting, let us enjoy and experience the present designs and forms of lighting using them wisely.

Kreon lighting | the cornerstone of reality

Kreon lighting | the cornerstone of reality
Light defines forma and textures, emphasizes the content and quality of objects but also brings them to life. Harmony with architecture is at its best when light does not call attention to itself, just like air. Light is the cornerstone of reality.

The design of our collection represents a way of thinking that reduces each product to the essential components without compromise. Luminance and illumination are the primary goals. The luminaire, a detail that can reflect and integrate within architecture with the purest form that will enhance and ad value to its environment, requires a deep understanding of the intrinsic nature and unified components of architectural styles. These components can be condensed into basic forms, which Kreon light exploits within its products.

This approach to design requires that the details of an object are not merely decorative, but are a key to the essence of the product as a whole. Kreon products, in their simplest forms, do not result in austere minimalism, but in architectural objects that communicate with space, regardless of style. This, combined with careful planning, represents the true meaning of “architectural lighting”.

Kreon, purity in light gives you opportunity to create conditions that allow the beauty of architecture to surface. Kreon always approaches light and lighting solutions from the architect’s point of view.

Kreon epitomises the language of form in present-day architecture, an architecture based on right angles and lines. It is to this same sober architecture that appliances owe their universal and timeless character. Instead of basing its designs on the form of lighting devices and radius of the light they diffuse. Kreon appliances are not foreign elements, but merge with the architecture.

The product has a minimal presence and leaves it to light itself to steal the show. The forms are simple and austere. Kreon lighting appliances are sober and do not monopolise attention. An architect does not want lighting appliances, but light, atmosphere and comfort. Kreon provides the purity in light.

Led lighting : long service life & high energy efficiency

Led lighting : long service life & high energy efficiency
An led light bulb is a solid-state lamp that uses light-emitting diodes (leds) as the source of light. led lamps offer long service life and high energy efficiency but initial costs are higher than those of fluorescent and incandescent lamps. Chemical decomposition of led chips reduces luminous flux over life cycle as with conventional lamps.

The leds involved may be conventional semi-conductor light-emitting diodes, organic leds or polymer light-emitting diodes devices.

An assortment of led light bulbs commercially available as of 2010 as replacements for screw-in bulbs including floodlight fixtures(left), reading light (center), household lamps (center right and bottom) and low-power accent light (right) applications.

Led lightings are made to replace screw-in incandescent light bulbs. An energy-efficient bulb that claims to be the equivalent of a 60W tungsten bulb must have a minimum light output of 806 lumens. led lights are mercury-free, unlike fluorescent lamps. The higher purchase cost than other types may be more than offset by savings in energy and maintenance.

Several companies offer led lamps for general lighting purposes. The technology is improving rapidly and new energy-efficient consumer led lamps are available for wall lighting.

A light-emitting diode (led) is a semi-conductor light source. leds are used as indicator lamps in many devices and are increasingly used for other lighting. Appearing as practical electronic components in 1962, early leds emitted low-intensity red light but modern versions are available across the visible, ultraviolet and infrared wavelengths with very high brightness.

Light-emitting diodes are used in applications as diverse as aviation lighting, automotive lighting, advertising, general lighting and traffic signals. leds have allowed new text, video displays and sensors to be developed while their high switching rates are also useful in advanced communications technology. Infrared leds are also used in remote control units of many commercial products including televisions, DVD players and other domestic appliances.

With the development of high-efficiency and high-power leds, it has become possible to use leds in lighting and illumination. Replacement light bulbs have been made as well as dedicated fixtures and led lamp. leds are small, durable and need little power, so they are used in hand held devices such as flashlights, led strobe lights or camera flashes operate at a safe, low voltage, instead of 250+ volts found in xenon flash lamp based lighting.

led light bulbs could be a cost-effective option for lighting a home or office space because of their very long lifetimes.

Parts of an led

The led consists of a chip of semiconducting material doped with impurities to create a p-n junction. As in other diodes, current flows from the p-side or anode to the n-side or cathode but not in the reverse direction. Charge-carriers—electrons and holes—flow into the junction from electrodes with different voltages. When an electron meets a hole, it falls into a lower energy level and releases energy in the form of a photon.

Most materials used for led production have very high refractive indices. This means that much light will be reflected back into the material at the material-air surface interface. Thus, light extraction in leds is an important aspect of led production.

10 great ideas for improving lighting quality

10 great ideas for improving lighting quality
Lighting is one aspect that is frequently left without much attention by the inhabitants of a place. It is one thing that many of us let go bad lightings in a work environment, but the reality of the situation is that good lightings like deltalight grid can really increase the work productivity of an organization because it directly affects the mood and ambience of a work place.

The below listed tips can help you increase the quality of lighting of any place:

  • Making use of indirect lighting is always the best option.
  • Take care that there is always adequate light on the room surfaces. This holds very important for those walls which are quite deep and far from the windows.
  • Objects or fixtures that produce unwanted glare in the room, are visually very dominant or are unpleasantly bright should be avoided.
  • If you are fond of dark shades on the wall, keep it to the minimum avoiding larger expansion of the darker shades.
  • The same applies in the case of dark furniture also.
  • Daylight view looks very good from the rooms, but direct sunlight should be in a controlled form and the same holds true for windows that are too bright.
  • Providing user control is another great option for quality lighting. Adjustable task lights from deltalight are the best to be used for desks.
  • The usage of multilevel switching is considered better in classrooms and private offices.
  • An ambient approach or a task approach is worth considering. It is a good way to have ambient lighting of lower level rather than putting up the highest level of lighting to brighten up the whole space. Have specific lights for task locations. It is a good way to save energy.
  • Making use of occupancy sensors for classrooms or private offices is a wise way to control energy.
  • When you buy lamps, get the ones with color rendering rating that is above 80.
Apart from all the above mentioned tips, if you want to have fine and high quality lighting, then it has to be with integration to the architecture of the place.
