FLOS - Lighting Options of Today's Home Lights

If you’re into vintage, there are lighting fixtures to suit the same. The sheer range of colors and patterns means that you can select virtually anything you so desire.

FLOS is a lighting brand that manufactures contemporary designs by noted designers in the industry. The look is fresh, innovative and very classy. More suited to interiors with a modern look, it has everything to offer its customers from table lamps to floor lamps

Flos - An Quite Architectural Design

Flos products are quite architectural in design. Minimalism seems to be the underlying theme with sleek cuts and zero frills surrounding their lamps. Most of their lamps cast diffused light, lending surrounding areas a soft glow.

Those accustomed to a little luxury can also avail of a technology called Homelink. This enables people to control their lighting from outside the house via a remote control. While the technology isn’t new, it’s become more popular. Table lamps and floor lamps can be switched on and  off from the comfort of your car with a few pushes of buttons.

In order to be able to make use of the technology, users will need to have a Homelink system installed in the car and the X10 Activehome Pro installed at home. Once both have been set it according to recommendations, two other pieces of software will need to be installed. These are CM15A USB PC, an interface that allows for turning on and off lights; and RF remote and X10 device module which allows users to perform tasks like dimming lights.

You may wonder why someone would want to control their lights remotely. The answer is because it heightens safety and also gives people who have left home without turning off the lights a simpler way to do so. It’s also a nice change from having to manually turn them off and on and gives those using it an edge over those who aren’t. In addition, Homelink works with anything that consumes electricity and using it to control crystal lighting is just the tip of the iceberg.
